The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment replaces the previous Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and is the current industry benchmark for VET trainers and assessors.

The course opens with an overview of the current VET environment, OHS in the training workplace and techniques for promoting an inclusive learning environment and culture.

Participants will also be given instruction on how to:

• Use Training Packages to develop learning programs and assessment tools
• Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills
• Facilitate individual and work-based learning
• Plan and conduct assessment
• Assess competence
• Develop assessment tools and participate in validation
