This is a one-stop web entry point for information on vocational education and training, designed for use by Australian businesses. Its services will be expanded progressively to all registered training organisations and to the general community in 2004.
National Audit and Registration Agency
NARA, the National Audit and Registration Agency, has been established to provide audit and registration services for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that operate in more than one Australian State or Territory. These are known as multi-jurisdictional RTOs.

Training Package Implementation Guides
Implementation guides provide information to assist registered training organisations, teachers, trainers and assessors to use training packages. It is possible to view, download or print a copy of an implementation guide tailored to the state or territory in which training is to be delivered. At present several implementation guides are available, and more will be added progressively.
National Training Information Service
The National Training Information Service is an online database about vocational education and training in Australia. It contains detailed information about courses, qualifications, training packages, competency standards and training organisations.
Australian Apprenticeships Centres
This information service for Australian Apprenticeships Centres has extensive resources that are useful for all vocational education and training professionals, including pathway charts for almost all training packages. There are also links to state and territory sites.

Australian Training Products
Australian Training Products publishes and distributes endorsed training packages and training package support materials, and is the national clearinghouse for publicly funded materials developed for vocational education and training. It is possible to search the catalogue, view samples of products and register to receive their newsletter, Train e-sier.
Australian Qualifications Framework
The national qualifications described by the Australian Qualifications Framework are a key element of the national training system. This site explains how vocational education and training fits into the big picture, and is useful for clients as well (refer to www.tpatwork.com/viewarticle.asp?articleid=897).
AESharenet
AESharenet is a national collaborative system to allow vocational education and training professionals to share and adapt training materials. Training providers can license training materials developed for the Australian context online, and adapt them for their own purposes (refer to www.tpatwork.com/viewarticle.asp?articleid=912).
